The Adventure Begins!

Welcome!

Today, I just wanted to talk more about how about this blog's idea and also give my feelings.

Hopefully, all of us should have our own goals and dreams. These said goals and dreams are driven by what we desire out of life. Every single person is different, with all sorts of likes, talents, mind-sets, personalities and surroundings. Our families, our friends, our beliefs, where we live, and how we live can all have influence to shape us into the person we are.

Questions I want to ask are: How do we get to where we want to be? Action is brought about by what exactly? (If someone has a wish or dream, it's not just going to be handed to them). What do you need to do to make these dreams happen? Where do you start?

If you think about it, it starts inside of you.

As I have before stated, inspiration is motivation. What inspires you? Maybe it is your family, friends, faith, colleagues, celebrities, books, subjects in school, others in this world you hear stories about? To have a dream, there is a center of why you desire it . There is an anchor, in which your idea forms around. One which, while we go through life pulls us through and keeps us grounded in who we are.

This is what I want to bring to your attention today. Ask your self: what is my anchor and why?
My anchor is......(What do I live for?)

Going back to the ship metaphor.....We are all on a voyage. Where is our paradise? What is our paradise? Where is our ending destination? Happiness? Success? A loving family? Heaven? What is your driving passion that brings you from day to day?

Sports, Music, School, Style, Politics, Cooking, Blogging, Business, Fame, Religion, Charity, Family, Love....There are so many aspects to this life and different pathways we can choose.

Can't think of one?
When is the last time, you sat down and thought about all the blessings you were given? Can't think of any? Here's a freebie. You were given life and breath, and that is the greatest gift of all!
It is up to you to make the most of your life, make goals for yourself. You are a powerful vessel and you have your own story! It is up to you to start on those goals, make them happen. And lastly, it is up to you to be happy.

For everyone out there reading, my purpose of this post was to stir up your mind. Those who know what their anchor is, take the next step and do something about it! Take action, Start: Research, ask others, go out actively and find what you are looking for.

Those who still are searching for theirs, again, it only begins with you to find it. Let your ship set sail!

Readers, please share your story, thoughts, questions, or comments, and email shipsetsailblog@gmail.com. I would love to add your input, inspirations, and dreams to this blog.

Also, if you are in need and want some guidance, please also contact me, (there are always chances where we can better ourselves, and our lives.)

Ship Set Sail

Hello everyone!
My name is Monica. I started this blog over a year ago. Unfortunately, I put this blog on the back-burner after only one post, for the last year with so many life changes. I am now ready to go full force into this and I am very excited for it's future!

Originally, this blog was named "The One In a Million Way". The reason I started it is because I wanted to inspire. Growing up, every child has dreams. I can almost guarantee every little boy or girl would rave to their parents about being a singer, an astronaut, or president or some other amazing dream. Some people achieve those dreams, while others may feel that there is no way for them to personally achieve it.

Well, that's where I want to come in.
Actually, That's also where I want YOU to come in.

I had this idea for a new spin on my blog and I'm going to need your help!
Starting, I decided to rename this endeavor from "The One In A Million Way" to "Ship Set Sail."
Many of us constantly sit around wishing our dreams would come true, but we don't do anything about it, OR we honestly feel like there is nothing we can do about it. I feel like if we change our thought process to the way this life is, it can help us achieve our goals.
This is the metaphor I want to present in everyone's mind....

Think of yourself as your own ship and this life as a journey, a big voyage. We can either stay at the dock waiting along or we can set sail ourselves. There might be big waves and storms along the way, but if you work hard and persevere, you can make it to your destination, your paradise!

Now that doesn't mean we can always do it by ourselves, sometimes we have inspiration, or little pushes along the way that brings you closer and closer to the goal in mind. One way, to start, is by sharing other's stories! I believe motivation brings inspiration! I bet we all have heroes, or role models who have accomplished dreams of their own or even dreams of ours that we look up to. One goal of this blog is to share our stories with one another, to hopefully inspire, motivate, and enlighten others to also achieve goals and dreams they desire. Dreams of anything whether it's to be a student, athlete, fashionista, musician, President, to eat better, be healthier, or even to be happier!

If you would like to contribute your story or thoughts, have any questions or comments, email me at shipsetsailblog@gmail.com. With your permission, I will upload your story or thoughts on this blog for everyone to read and relate to! Everything is welcome, if it is a connection to singing or sports classes for others to join, a healthy recipe, your exercise routine, your faith, miracles you've seen, or maybe even your own blog. Anything that makes you happy I would love to receive and add it to this blog. Ship Set Sail's purpose is to bring happiness and a better way of living for yourself and for others.

I am very excited for Ship Set Sail and I hope to eventually further this into helping those who need a little (or BIG) pick-up. My ultimate goal would be to raise donation kits for children and adults, people of all ages who feel they are in need, or are underprivileged  This might include a healthy eating schedule with an exercise plan, an internship, classes for your particular interest, scholarships, a motivational plan for happier living, or even starting a club the list goes on.
I can only do this with the reader's help! If you have a desire to contribute, or if you  know of anyone in need (even if it's you), contact me and we will try to make it happen! Thank you for reading!
